Be Grateful

We take so many things for granted. Have you ever thought about that? There are so many of us who are so ignorant to everything. Have you ever seen someone who was different than you and made fun of them? Say, like, the mentally challenged kids from highschool? What if you were that person...imagine that. The same exact you. You've got all your feelings and all your thoughts but there's something blocking them that you just can't get the words out. And whatever that thing blocking it may be, be it speech impairment or celebral palsey, that's the only thing different from you and everyone else. While reading through diaries on this site, I noticed that over 60% of the diaries are kept by moody, suicidal adolescents. Be grateful. You are alive. You can speak your mind. You have the ability to walk, to read, and to write. There is a roof over your head, and you are fed, and clothed. I would bet money most of these children come from middle class homes. Adolescense is hard for everyone, not just you. If you wanted to kill yourself, you would. You would just take a gun and shoot. Or jump off a bridge. None of this scratching of the wrists, or taking 5 sleeping pills and then telling some one. Someday, you will grow up and realize it was all for attention. You have alot to be grateful for - you are not blind. You see in color, and you can hear.

Smarten up.
